Last week, we shared our vegan Crystal Eye Serum with the world. You may have seen it on our blog or our Instagram Live during A Night For Green Beauty. In this blog, I’m going to dive in deeper into our eye serum. If you’re subscribed to our email list, you have access to a special promotion going on right now; however, if you’re not subscribed, sign up now and you’ll have an opportunity to be included.
Eye serums and creams are beloved by many for their anti-aging and brightening effects. The ingredients used are often carefully chosen so the product provides as much moisture as possible. Our Crystal Eye Serum’s ingredients were carefully selected to do that as well. The Tremella mushroom extract, watermelon seed oil, and cucumber seed oil we use are all known for their hydrating effects. As we mentioned last week, the Tremella mushroom has been used for thousands of years for its age-defying benefits. The weird, squishy mushroom is made up of a polysaccharide that holds 500 times its weight in water.
Watermelon Seed oil is incredibly beneficial thanks to the amazing amount of minerals and nutrients it contains. The seed oil contains antioxidants, vitamins, and unsaturated fatty acids like omega 3 & 6, and oleic acid. We included this oil because all of these properties help to lighten age spots, heal blemishes and the improve the appearance of wrinkles.
In the movie, “The Princess Diaries,” or any other makeover/spa scene, Anne Hathaway’s glam squad places cucumber on her eyes and Paulo, her makeup artist, ends up eating one. As seen in “The Princess Diaries,” any other makeover/spa scene, and your local spa, everybody has had cucumbers placed on their eyes. This is done not only because it’s cute, but because they’re actually very nutritious. The phytosterols in cucumbers help skin elasticity and maintenance of healthy skin. They also have high levels of caffeic acid. Caffeic acid is a potent antioxidant that reduces inflammation and prevents premature aging. This acid also helps to reduce puffiness around the eyes. The light consistency also helps your skin absorb the cucumber seed oil incredibly fast. We may not have a grandmother who has yet to tell us we’re a princess or prince; but, we can still treat our skin like royalty.
The final component that brings this product together is an amethyst crystal. Unlike any other product, we used an amethyst instead of a steel roller ball. Amethyst is the crystal of spirituality and is known for expelling a calming and peaceful energy. Roll this serum under your eyes and you might find yourself in a state of meditation.
Now that we’ve established this eye serum is fit for royalty, how should you use it? The Crystal Eye Serum can be used in the morning and at night. First, cleanse your skin which you can do using our Cleansing Powder or Face Wash. Next, roll the amethyst under the eyes, over any wrinkles, around the lips, and frown lines. Gently pat the skin where you applied the serum to help it absorb. Follow with our Face Cream, or your favorite moisturizer.
Thank you for all your love and support of this product! We’re so excited to bring you this long awaited product. If you’re not already subscribed, join our email list to be included on something special that won’t be happening again for months.
